Conditional Investment, Unconditional Love

Feeling love and devotion is not what drives my relational investment.

My relational investment is driven by noticing generative systems.

I invest in what generates nourishment from me, and what welcomes my authentic-desire driven participation as a generative resource.

When I feel myself falling in love, when I feel myself devoting to a new connection, I do not invest before there is a container. I do not invest because of how I feel.

Rather, feeling love and devotion causes me to invest deeply in systems I already know to be generative, while I wait to see if a nourishing container will emerge. I remain available, in love, tuned to devotion, and I reserve my investment for what I already know generates nourishment.

This is one way I stay nourished even though I'm incredibly open to new connections and relationships. My investment is for what is exquisite, generative, and nourishing to my energy.

This commitment to investing in what is nourishing keeps me too busy to even notice opportunities I used to take and run with--to fritter my energy away on something that has no bottom to hold what I pour into it. I no longer invest based on a feeling.
