Fear's Vigil
Vigil for threat is the only threat left when we achieve safety.
Safety is not safe from danger.
Safety is the state which is safe from threat.
if we bring the fear from when we were threatened into the realm of safety, we threaten our own safety and become a threat to the safety of everyone else.
If we meet danger as if it is threat, we destroy the all the safety available.
This is how we remain in familiar unsafety, avoiding the dissonant discomfort of experiencing safety while we know danger still lurks, may pounce at any time.
