Hidden Motives
"I can tell it may take me a while to trust this. That I can have all the good things in a relationship without the trap of hidden motives."
My love...
You cannot have anything good of relationship WITH the trap of hidden motives, or the suspicion that they exist taking the wheel.
I don't worry about others' hidden motives.
Maybe that makes me naieve.
But I focus on relationship being good.
Relationships with hidden motives cannot stay good. All efforts toward control reveal themselves immediately, again and again, in the light of practices of love and trust.
Hidden motives cannot stay hidden in the light of love and trust.
We come to see all motives when we truly live beyond coercion and control, in freedom, agility, agency.
Nobody's attempt to control me has a hope of succeeding, so I contentedly receive attempts to control me as the transparent practices of the ill-informed.
My consistent love and practice of trust reveals that I possess no motive but to love what is and whatever will be.
It's not really the hiddenness of the motive that makes it a threat.
It's that the motive exists at all.
