Last
"Does this create a lasting relationship?"
My love, I wish I could promise that.
But NOTHING creates a lasting relationship. Relationship lasts exactly as long as it lasts.
Best-case-scenario, for most people, when we carry it out to the end, is the DEATH of the one they love the most, the one who is ready to go on loving them.
No, relationships sadly cannot and do not last.
What my strategies create are relationships which honor your standards, boundaries, value systems, and personal codes of conduct. I offer the practices of being in relationship which are sustainable for you to go on doing all your life.
What my strategies create is HARMONY in relationship.
Harmonious relationships have a better chance of lasting, in my experience.
But they last for the simple fact that they are allowed to change, that change does not end the connection but continually enlivens and reforms relationship through honoring the connection.
So, is the relationship even lasting? When it might look so radically different from what it once was, can we say THAT relationship is still intact?
What does it mean for a relationship to last? As we hold the truth of it, a lasting relationship might be one which is stagnant to the point where connection dies, whereas an everchanging relationship might paradoxically result in an everlasting connection.
