No Such Thing as Opting-Out
Opt-In: because there is no such thing as opting out.
The only way to truly opt-out of anything is to Opt-In to something else.
All resistance is opt-IN.
Let me say this again, and emphasize that there are NO exceptions:
ALL resistance is opt-IN.
Whatever we stand against, by standing against it, we grant it power. A threat becomes a threat when we treat it like a threat. We live under threat when we endorse threat. If a threat exists and we do not endorse it, we simply experience peace until there is an event, and then we experience peace in feeling the pain and grieving the harm of the event.
Resistance is a preservative force, like when you resist the fact that the car door is locked and keep pulling the handle the whole time someone else clicks the button so it can never unlock.
Entropy enacts where attention is missing. What doesn't get attention simply fades into the abyss. Attention is a force of creation, ALWAYS.
Knowing this, I opt-IN on what I do want for the world, and I say no to everything else by not being there, not with my body, not with my attention, not with my words.
There is no perfection, and this is not a moral practice. This is not a morally good way of being, it is not love and light type positivity, it is good like integrity, it is positive in that it addresses what exists.
The practice of opting-in to what I don't want is suffering, it's suffering in service to me. It is always there reminding me that my mandate is to create, to attend to what is worthy, to recognize what of this infinite offering is truly FOR ME.
