Principles of Devotion
The Village Principles are principles of devoted living.
They are practices and standards, a framework of personal responsibility which functions as a guiding force, a tool of discernment, and a slow and sweet process of refinement.
These principles form a positive and realistic definition of success which renders much thinking and deciding completely beside the point.
Living these principles will bring each person in your life to the exact-right distance for you to love and care for them, eventually effortlessly resulting in a community that feels like a happy family.
Being at the right distance heals almost all conflict right at its source. When every dyad in a community is healthy in this way, community coherence is purely a consequence.
Community emerges from relationships, it cannot be "built." It arises when principles of community are present. Community, the we-field, is a whole made of 1:1 relationships. Me to me, me to you, me to world.
The Village Principles are about shaping the one common component in all these relationships (me) to bring more love into every area of my life, to foster the conditions for community to arise.
It's worked for me, and it's working exponential magic in the lives of all who have been exposed to these principles.
I hope you'll serve it to yourself.
