UnMartyring
Martyrdom is a form of ancestral grief.
Martyrdom is how we hold what we Have from a stance of disempowerment.
The shadow of Having is Burden.
The grief is ancestral, yes, and like all grief, it is here now in my mind and in my practices. It is in my ongoing experience unless I cultivate something else.
Martyrdom does not end with better circumstances. Better circumstances arise when I replace martyrdom with something else, with other real beliefs-about and practices-toward what I Have.
Transcending my own martyrdom led to me developing the content which is now the online course Abundantly Boundaried.
Ancestral grief is ancestral because it is about the pain I feel of having programming which invokes outdated realities.
I feel afraid in safety sometimes because my animal body is tuned to outdated threats.
On another fractal, I may behave as though a secure relationship is at risk, if that is how I learned to behave in close relationship.
On another fractal, I might do an easy task in a hard way, if that is how I learned to approach the task.
Abundance is my updated reality. My outdated reality is one of scarcity.
In that outdated reality, my boundaries were communications to loved ones regarding my overwhelm, resentment, exhaustion, depletion. They came from that stressed-out state.
In the updated reality, depletion does not arise.
In the updated reality, my boundaries are lived standards I behave every moment to experience love, connection, and collaboration with everyone around me. I experience the thrilling mundane responsibility of a life well chosen.
Depletion is simply one of any standard I might hold to signal to myself that I require more nourishment.
If I act on an earlier signal to nourish myself, depletion does not arrive.
This is how I come to live into the opposite of martyrdom, in exquisite Having, free of burden, joyfully leaping to my responsibilities.
The opposite of martyrdom is a state of always having more to give. It is a practice of non-negotiable nourishment as well as a practice of exquisite reserve and distribution.
If you want to know how this applies precisely to you in your life on every fractal, I hope you will attend my 90-Minute workshop next week, the first teaching I have EVER done Live of this material.
